Flow: What It Is and How To Find It
Flow is a mental state that can help you do just that. It’s a sense of complete immersion and focus in an activity, where it almost feels like time is suspended.
But what is flow and how can we find it?
What is flow?
Flow is a mental state of being in which we become fully immersed in an activity and experience a heightened sense of enjoyment, motivation, and focus.
In this state, we become so focused on the task at hand that we forget everything else — even time — and experience a feeling of euphoria and deep satisfaction.
Flow is commonly described as being “in the zone” or “on autopilot,” and it can be experienced in any activity that requires creative thinking or problem solving, such as playing a musical instrument, coding, writing, painting, and more.
When we are in flow, our mind is open and alert to whatever comes its way, allowing us to work with greater efficiency and creativity.
Flow is said to be a very desirable state of mind because it allows us to remain focused and productive for long periods of time without feeling drained or distracted. It also helps us to break through mental blocks and come up with innovative solutions to difficult problems.
